We had a truly wonderful experience at the hotel restaurant. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well thought out. Our server, João, was especially outstanding—kind, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our meal. João’s recommendations were spot-on and totally elevated our dining experience. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented - my favorite was the sea bass with vegetables from their garden! The view was gorgeous, the ambiance welcoming, and the service was top notch. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening—highly recommended!

My sister and I stayed at Casa Palmela for three nights the weekend of Easter. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the staff. The room was lovely and we had beautiful views of the vineyards. The grounds were equally lovely with lots of walking paths. The restaurant was great - good food, excellent service, we enjoyed every meal we ate there. But what made our stay most wonderful at Casa Palmela was the staff. Everyone we interacted with went out of their way to be helpful, and made us feel welcome. Joao in particular was incredible. He looked out for our every need, had a warm and welcoming personality and completely made our stay there.

I found this hotel / villa with VIP Access searching through Expedia’s website. It is a hidden gem for those looking for a serene and beautiful environment (with views of vineyards and expansive landscapes). There are bed & breakfast type rooms in the main house, or multi-bedroom villas near the main house. We had a spacious 3 bedroom “house” (Moscatel) with its own courtyard, and a spacious living & dining area on the first floor, and a full European-size refrigerator and kitchen. The hotel is easy to find with Google Map even though it is located within the Parque Natural da Arrabida; it is easy access to Setubal town (a 10 minute drive), grocery stores, beaches, and beautiful scenery. You experience the true Portugal being in a place like this.
I realized upon arrival this hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotel collection and it is truly reflected in the ambience and services. The staff were all wonderful, being very attentive to all our needs. Jose & Joao welcomed us upon arrival, and helped us settled immediately around noon (even though official check-in was not until much later).
The Zimbral restaurant onsite has a nice diverse menu selection for dinner, and prices are reasonable for its quality and ambience.
There is a walking /biking path on the property; the hotel has only 2 bikes for rent (so reservation is encouraged). You can email the hotel through ******* messaging; the staff is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend a stay here.

Eine wunderbare Oase gelegen inmitten von Weinfeldern und Korkbäumen. Sehr Stielvoll eingerichtet und super Sauber. Das Abendessen dort sollte man unbedingt erleben, sehr gute Küche und sehr aufmerksames professionelles Personal. Ganz besonders ist uns der Ober Joao da Sousa aufgefallen der besonders professionell war , was wir gerade an einem Nebentisch erfahren durften wo die Gäste sich wirklich ziemlich Unhöflich und Arrogant benommen haben, Joao hat das Prima gehändelt! Casa Palmela ist bestimmt ein Hotel in das wir gerne zurück kommen werden.

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes altes Herrenhaus mitten in den Weinfeldern ( Wein gibt es im Hotelrestaurant), umgeben von Korkeichen, Olivenbäumen und Kräutern. Sehr netter Service und top- sauber. Ein Besuch im Restaurant ist empfehlenswert, ebenso ein Drink in der Lobby oder draußen im Garten. Das continentale Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich, gut und wird stilvoll, wie alles in dem Haus, serviert. Ein wirklich schöner Aufenthalt.

Gostaria de mostrar o nosso desagrado total com o facto de num programa de passagem de ano não haver uma comemoração / festa de passagem de ano. Jantamos e simplesmente nos mandaram para os quartos… e disseram que depois iam levar uma garrafa de espumante. É lamentável para não dizer muito muito mau num programa de ano novo que se pagou um pack de passagem de ano com jantar e até com brunch não haver qualquer tipo de música, nem de ambiente nem de rádio … nada. Não haver nada alusivo a festa e fim de ano.
